VCE

At NCAT you can embrace your passions by personalising the VCE to your areas of interest, choosing from a range of specialist subjects and VCE VET certificates in the arts and/or technologies in addition to standard VCE subjects. Learn from teachers who are experts in their field and whose love for their subject extends beyond the classroom. Attend classes with like-minded students who chose NCAT because they could focus on areas of the arts and technologies that they love. You will also develop important transferable skills for success such as organisation, problem solving, idea generation and critical thinking.

NCAT balances the practical with the theoretical and our approach to the VCE is no different. Senior Coordinators and Careers Advisors work with you to design a VCE program tailored to meet your interests, choosing subjects that embrace your passion in preparation for further study or range of pathways in your chosen field.

Each student must satisfactorily complete a total of no fewer than 16 units, comprising:

/

Three units of English studies, including Units 3 & 4.

/

Three sequences of units 3 and 4 studies other than English.

/

For a full description of the formal VCE requirements and structure please see the VCAA website.
