Media & Multimedia

Early career starts are available for VCE and VCAL students seeking a career in creative arts, specialising in multimedia approaches. Students can integrate a VET certificate in Creative Arts (Multimedia) within a VCE or VCAL syllabus.
Create games, and build a website to promote your game. Learn the art of developing industry standard, online animations using the latest software from industry professionals. Capture and edit video footage for online publication. Record original material and create a podcast for traditional or online channels.

About Media & Multimedia at NCAT

Employment opportunities across the creative arts / multimedia have increased, as Australian-based industry expands into games design and the production of Apps for mobile devices. Games designers, concept artists, animators and interactive designers are in high demand.

The College consults with industry and government reference groups to keep abreast of advancing technology requirements, ensuring that our curriculum remains consistent with emerging trends. Our facilities include purpose-built computer labs, video, sound and photography facilities.

Media (VCE)

This can be studied as a VCE subject within a VCE or VCAL program.
This subject allows you to make and complete your film, animation, radio/audio show, newspaper or multimedia piece. Look at the impact of new technology on the media. Identify how a production goes from its initial stages to finished product; take on a specialised role within a production and understand the need for collaboration.
