VET TASTERSNCAT runs a series of VET taster programs during the year. Students from schools in the region are able to book into these half day programs which give them an opportunity to learn about their area of interest and see whether they want to pursue them as part of their Year 10, 11 or 12 program. All of the workshops are hands-on with students either making a product they can take away such as a piece of jewellery for Visual Arts or an electronic device for Electrotechnology, or using equipment to complete a task; learning a jazz or hip-hop dance routine, or in the case of Music: songwriting, performing and recording their song.
