Students from our Young Women in Trades and Technology (YWITT) group were invited to the Master Builders Victoria International Women’s Day (IWD) Breakfast, to celebrate the efforts of the many incredible women helping to drive change in the building and construction industry.
With a panel discussion that shared insightful conversations, personal stories and collective experiences, the event was inspiring for our students who hope to enter an industry in the next few years that “recognises and rewards women for their expertise and contributions” – Master Builders Victoria CEO, Michaela Lihou.
Master Builders Victoria President Geoff Purcell noted that “achieving equity in the building and construction industry requires all of us, men particularly, to step up. To be active allies”.
