Furnishing Students revamp Cafe

Due to the rapid growth at NACT we were finding a need for for increased seating and table areas. Thankfully our furnishing students under the expert supervision of Nick Frewen, came to the rescue.
TThe NCAT Café (Lynnes’ Place) is managed by Angela and Frank Valeri. Angela and Frank have many years of professional experience in the catering business. Lynnes’ Place is unique in secondary colleges in the northern suburbs because it is neither a canteen nor cafeteria but a genuine café with an environment and menu appropriate to young adults. Angela and Frank say that Lynnes’ Place provides for the best facilities of any college in their experience. The NCAT café is now being upgraded due to the efforts of our Furniture Making teacher, Nick Frewen, and his enthusiastic Pre- Apprentice Team. Together they have designed and manufactured three fold away tables and a bar which will follow the contours of the windows in the café. These have been made from Victorian Ash. The upgrade will be ready for Term 4 and will provide seating for an additional 22 students to relax and enjoy delicious food and conversation with their friends.
